Sabor Latino Festival will showcase Latin American culture and cuisine in Prague

Sabor Latino Praha is a four-day showcase of Latin American culture and cuisine, which will transform Náměstí Republiky in Prague for the seventh year in Latin America.

For four whole days (August 4-7 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), you can taste gastronomic delights and drinks from Latin American countries and treat yourself or your friends with a purchase of handcrafted jewelry and talismans originals, traditional clothing or fresh or dried exotic fruits and fragrant spices. A rich program of music and dance is also prepared.

Thursday, Sabor Latino Prague will offer a salsa dance hall with live music, as well as dance performances and workshops with European champions in the discipline of bachata improvisation – Mauritie and Elvíra.

Friday’s invitation will be the performance of the excellent Brazilian dancer Eduardo Diego, who will dance this time in the style of Brazilian funk.

We devote all Friday to Brazil. Brazilian artist Gabriel Guerreiri will play bossa nova, then Devanil Santos and his wife Maria will present an original Czech-Brazilian work, and with Zoe Perrenoud they will play forró from northeastern Brazil with elements of salsa and folklore, on which you can come and dance.

Eduardo Diego will transport you to Rio de Janeiro with his Brazilian carnival dance show, then Batala Praha will present you with a monumental Afro-Brazilian percussion show.

On Saturday, August 6, we will celebrate Bolivia’s Independence Day.

On the program Andean flutes, South American music to the rhythm of samba, tango and cumbia with the group Duo Elišky + (Eliška Aguirre, Eliška Fajmonová, Zoe Perrenoud and others), at the end of folklore and neo-folklore from Bolivia, but also from Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and Mexico with the Encuentro Band, which will then play to the rhythm of salsa, bachata, cha cha cha, bolero, rumba Catalan and Cumbia.

Sunday afternoon will unfold to the Colombian-Panamanian rhythm of cumbia, then the evening will be devoted to Mexican mariachis with Mariachi Azteca de Praga, including a dance workshop and a performance of Mexican dances by the Magistérial group.
