Upcoming Native American Culture Class Series at Goose Creek Library

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC – The Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) will collaborate with the Wassamassaw Tribe of Varnertown Indians, a non-profit organization, to host a new series titled Native American Culture Class.

The first class in the series will be Calabash Painting on Saturday, March 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Goose Creek Library.

Participants will paint a design on calabashes with the materials provided.

The instructor will be Tammy Leach, Cultural Preservation Specialist, of the Wassamassaw Tribe of Varnertown Indians, a state-recognized local tribe of Indigenous people.
