YFM and U.S. Embassy Hold Project Collaboration Meeting

Ghana’s premier urban radio station, YFM, and the US Embassy in Ghana held talks to explore partnership opportunities between the two entities.
The meeting held at the premises of Global Media Alliance (GMA) in Dzorwulu was attended by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GMA, Ernest Boateng, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GMA Group, Edwin Amankwah , Head of the YFM Triangle Osei Kuffour, Head of YFM Accra Programs Eddy Blay.
Representing the U.S. Embassy at the meeting, Laneice Brooker, Cultural Attaché (manages Fulbright and a host of exchanges), Kevin Brosnahan, Information Attaché, Joyce Asiedu, Information Specialist, and Rukmini Essel, Coordinator emerging voices.
The two entities have in the past collaborated to work on several projects.
GMA Group CEO Ernest Boateng speaking at the meeting said: “YFM being the leading urban radio station in the country, obviously the ears and may I add the eyes, are on us and we are always looking to improve what we do both on air and with other activities. This exploratory meeting with the American Embassy will allow us to see where the opportunities for collaboration lie, in order to achieve our respective objectives. “
Ernest Boateng also expressed his excitement at the opportunities the partnership brings to both organisations.
“We are excited about the opportunities discussed and look forward to working on various projects with the U.S. Embassy.”
